Have your say on plans and strategies

Otago Regional Council wants to hear your views on projects that may affect you. Formal consultation involves you making a submission under a set legal process. Before this formal process, we may seek informal public input on specific projects.

Draft Annual Plan 2017/2018

The 2017/2018 Draft Annual Plan sets out the council’s proposed activities for the 2017/2018 year commencing 1 July 2017.

We have prepared a consultation document separate from the draft Annual Plan that explains the proposed significant differences between the draft Annual Plan and what was provided for 2017/2018 in our 2015-25 Long Term Plan.

Submissions closed at 5pm on 12 May 2017.

Otago Southland Regional Land Transport Plans 2015 - 2021

We are doing a mid-term review on the Otago and Southland Regional Land Transport Plans.

As part of the review we are revisiting the goal, aims and specfic objectives the community, stakeholders and local authorites identify as being key to Otago and Southland, and consulting on what the main problems are that need to be addressed.

We are seeking feedback from those with an interest in Otago's and Southland's transport system.

Proposed Waianakarua River management strategy

The ORC is leading the development of a River Management Strategy for the Waianakarua River. The strategy will guide decisions on the style, scale, location and type of activities that occur in and adjacent to the river channels, and will identify the respective roles of landholders, ORC and other stakeholders.

A public consultation process will occur between 27 April and 19 May 2017 to present this initial work, and to allow for further feedback and comments to help develop the strategy.
