New Principal Office Building, Site and Amenity Works and the Repair of Existing Wharves Birch Street, Dunedin

Otago Regional Council seeks Tenders, for Council's consideration, from suitably qualified, resourced and experienced Contractors for the construction of a proposed new office building, associated site works, extensive amenity landscaping works, and the repair of existing wharves on Council's site at the corner of Kitchener Street and Birch Street, Dunedin.

The building has been designed in order to achieve a New Zealand Green Building Council rating of 5 stars.

The building has a gross floor area of approximately 5000 square metres on three levels constructed on a steel piled foundation. The ground level includes covered secure parking. The Building is to be clad in a structural glazed facade.

Site works consist of consolidation of existing levels, extensive landscaping including; external car parking, public access and promenade, external lighting as well as hydraulic storm and grey water treatment elements.

Sub-structure elements to the existing Birch Street wharf and Kitchener Street wharf are to be repaired and wharf decks overlaid including improved drainage.

Council will consider confirmation of the project after receipt of the tenders in February 2009.
