High-quality bus service to be launched in Queenstown
New and improved bus services for Queenstown will be launched on Wednesday July 14 by Otago Regional Council (ORC) Chairman Stephen Cairns, Queenstown Lakes District Mayor Clive Geddes, and New Zealand Transport Agency Regional Director, Bruce Richards.
The launch will take place at the O'Connells pavilion bus kiosk, Camp St, at 12.30pm.
The new services include increased frequency on main routes between Queenstown and Frankton; new feeder services to outlying residential areas, including Arthurs Point, Fernhill, Sunshine Bay, Arrowtown, and the Lake Hayes Estate; new buses on the feeder services; and GoCard electronic ticketing and fare saving.

The new timetable and fare information will be on www.connectabus.co.nz from Monday 12 July. Timetables will be on bus stops from 14 July.
New 'Southern Routes' Bus Contract Begins 1 July 2010
The new bus services contract for the Mosgiel/Fairfield/Wingatui, Abbotsford/Brighton/Green Island and Mosgiel Loop bus services commences on Thursday 1 July 2010 The services on these routes will be provided by Dunedin Passenger Transport. There will be no changes to the current timetables on 1 July with all services continuing to operate on the same timetables as they are currently running to. All services will be provided by wheelchair accessible superlow floor buses.
ORC fostering improved transport system

Otago Regional Council is responsible for tendering bus route contracts and publishing the annual public bus service timetable. We do not operate bus services. If you have feedback specific to a particular bus service, contact the relevant bus company directly.
