Accounts Officer

The Opportunity

As an Accounts Officer at the Otago Regional Council, your role will be to process and maintain the rates database, and process direct debit and email applications to ensure our information is robust and accurate. You will also provide support to our payroll function, assisting in the processing of our fortnightly payroll.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be skilled at working with complex databases and systems, have advanced excel abilities, excellent attention to detail, be a team player ready to jump in and take on activities that will assist in the effectiveness of the Finance function.

We are looking for candidates who are looking for a 6 month fixed term role, who can demonstrate confidence in crunching numbers, as well as add value to the culture of our team. You’ll be a positive, ‘can-do’ colleague, with skills to hone and the attitude to match.
