Our Council, Our Region

Business Analyst – Public Transport Ticketing

The Regional Integrated Ticketing System (RITS, as we know it) is a public transport ticketing roll-out with a stakeholder group of nine Regional Councils, of which Otago Regional Council is the lead. This project will have a significant impact on the communities and users of the bus services of their respective regions, improving on current facilities in preparation for a national system roll-out within the next 5 to 10 years.

The Opportunity

Sitting within the BAU operations team, this role will see you responsible for leading change management across the project, managing stakeholder engagement, marketing, and communications between the Councils within the consortium. You will be developing and mapping processes, a communications platform and undertaking analysis on RITS related data, presenting it back to the consortium in a meaningful and engaging manner.

About You

An expert relationship builder, you will put your skills to good use managing a geographically diverse stakeholder group, as well as liaising with suppliers, our vendor and transport operators across the country. With an eye for continuous improvement, you will draw on your past experience working to establish operational processes which are clear, concise and user-friendly, focusing on both current and future requirements.

This role promises to be both challenging and rewarding, and if you think it sounds like it could be your next big opportunity, please apply today.
