Accounts Officer

The Opportunity

As an Accounts Officer at the Otago Regional Council, your main components of this role will be to process and maintain the rates database, deal with ratepayer queries, complete daily bank reconciliations, process direct debit and email applications to ensure our information is robust and accurate.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be skilled at working with complex databases and systems, have advanced excel abilities, excellent attention to detail, provide great customer service, be a team player ready to jump in and take on activities that will assist in the effectiveness of the Finance function.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate confidence in crunching numbers, as well as adding value to the culture of our team. You’ll be a positive, ‘can-do’ colleague, with skills to hone and the attitude to match.
