Milton 2060 Strategy

In July 2012, Otago Regional Council and Clutha District Council adopted the "Milton 2060 Flood Risk Management Strategy. The strategy describes the causes of flooding in the Tokomairiro Plain, and the effect flooding has in Milton and the northern Tokomairiro plain.

The "Milton 2060 Flood Risk Management Strategy" aims to help the community understand and better prepare for flooding. Part of this is to develop or redevelop land in a way that can reduce risks overtime. The aim is to also ensure that land use doesn't increase current flood risks.

The "Milton 2060 Technical Report" gives the methods used to define the flood risk management areas proposed in the Milton 2060 Flood Risk Management Strategy.
