2020/2021 Orbus holiday services

Orbus services operate throughout the holidays as per the usual schedule, with some exceptions. Find out more here.

Don't forget, your Bee Card gets you around for $2 per trip (adult fare) anywhere on the network in both Dunedin and Queenstown so you can enjoy exploring these holidays. Children and SuperGolds who have a Bee Card with a registered concession pay even less. In fact, SuperGolds are free of charge.

Children under 5 travel free, ideal for a day out and about with the kids.

The service uses former Dunedin City Council buses restored and driven by the society's volunteers.

Contact Andy Langford, chairman 0210 652 374, if you have any questions.

Queenstown

Christmas Day is the only public holiday that the Orbus Queenstown bus service does not operate on.

For all other public holidays, the service runs to the normal timetable every day.

Where to find your holiday bus timetable

Holiday bus timetables are available on the individual timetables for each route. To find the holiday timetable for your bus route go to Dunedin Bus Timetables or Queenstown Bus Timetables and select your route, and the day you plan to travel.

** When Waitangi Day and Anzac Day fall at a weekend, a normal service will apply on the weekend day and a public holiday service will apply on the official date of observance.

Normal weekday services will apply on Otago Anniversary Day Monday 23 March and Tuesday 2 April.
