Queenstown Public Transport Business Case Feedback

We want to hear from you.

This is your chance to give us your thoughts on how public transport might look in the future.

Otago Regional Council (ORC) together with its Way to Go partner agencies — Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) — are developing a 30-year plan for public transport for Tāhuna/Queenstown and surrounding areas.

The Queenstown Public Transport Business Case (QPTBC) focuses on:

  • What the public transport network will look like in the future
  • Decarbonisation of public transport
  • Where on-demand bus services could be considered
  • What the future ownership, operating, and management systems could look like, and
  • What proposals may cost and how they could be funded

Consider the options provided that, over time, could make public transport more attractive and an easier way to get around for you in the future.

Your feedback will help us finalise an option for where funding should be allocated.

You can read the available options here before the completing the feedback form (note the options are also available to view within the feedback).

It can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes to complete the feedback form, depending on your answers.

Feedback closes end of Monday 2 October 2023.
