The Annual Plan outlines ORC's work programmes and cost for the coming year along with how the work will be paid for, including updates on rates.
It also identifies any significant changes from what was proposed in our Long-Term Plan.
The Long-Term Plan is developed every three years, and is a key strategic planning document that sets out the community vision, work programmes and budgets for the next 10 years, as required by the Local Government Act.
In the two years between Long-Term Plans, Council produces an Annual Plan to review work and highlight any changes. While the Long-Term Plan sets a 10-year vision for Otago, the Annual Plan ensures we stay on track, and keep our communities updated.
The draft Annual Plan was considered by Council in February and as no significant change was proposed, there was no requirement to formally consult. The plan will progress directly to Council for adoption in April 2026.
The Annual Plan outlines our budget, funding impacts, and any changes to the projects and funding from the Long-Term Plan.
Council schedule of fees and charges from 1 July 2025 has been set through the annual plan.
