Route 3: Ocean Grove – Ross Creek

Route 3 will be disestablished and replaced by the following routes:

  • Route 3 (Ocean Grove to Ross Creek) will be replaced by Route 30 (Ocean Grove to Helensburgh return)

  • Route 3 (Ross Creek to Ocean Grove) will be replaced by Route 35 (St Clair Park to Ross Creek)

All frequencies will remain the same, but timetables will be changed.

Route 3: Bus Hub - Ross Creek - Bus Hub

  • now catch route 35 bus.

Route 3: Bus Hub - Ocean Grove - Bus Hub

  • now catch route 30 bus.

Route 50: Bus Hub - Helensburgh - Bus Hub

  • now catch route 30 bus

Route 50: Bus Hub - St Clair Park - Bus Hub

  • now catch route 35

Route 5: Calton Hill – Pine Hill

Route 5 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 8: St Clair – Normanby

Route 8 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 10: Opoho – Shiel Hill

Route 10 will change to a 30-minute frequency for majority of the day with only late evening turning to a 60-minute frequency. Previously it was 20 mins at peak and 40 mins off-peak.

Route 14: Port Chalmers – City

Route 14 will still be a 30-minute frequency with minor timing changes. However, there will be an added trip in each direction on school days only, to provide additional services before and after school. These extra trips will be slotted in between the normal trips, creating a brief 15-minute frequency for a short period in the morning and afternoon.

Route 15: Ridge Runner both directions

Route 15 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 18: Portobello/Harington Point – City

Route 18 will have some minor timing changes, as well as adding an additional trip in each direction operating past Bayfield High School & Musselburgh Rise on school days only.

Route 19: Waverley – Belleknowes

Route 19 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 33: Corstorphine – Wakari

Route 33 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 37: Concord – University

Route 37 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 44: St Kilda – Halfway Bush

Route 44 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 50: St Clair Park – Helensburgh

Route 50 will be disestablished and replaced by the following routes:

  • Route 50 (Helensburgh to St Clair Park) will be replaced by Route 35 (Helensburgh to Ocean Grove return)

  • Route 50 (St Clair Park to Helensburgh) will be replaced by Route 35 (St Clair Park to Ross Creek return)

All frequencies will remain the same, but timetables will be changed.

  • If you previously caught the Route 50 bus to Helensburgh, you’ll now want to catch the Route 30 bus.

  • If you previously caught the Route 50 bus to St Clair Park, you’ll now want to catch the Route 35 bus.

Route 55: St Kilda – Brockville

Route 55 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 61: City – Kenmure

Route 61 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 63: Balaclava – Logan Park

Route 63 will only have some minor timing changes. All frequencies will remain the same.

Route 70: Brighton – Green Island via Abbotsford

Route 70 will be disestablished and replaced by the following routes:

  • A new Route 71 (Brighton to Green Island return). This will be a 40-minutes peak and 60-minutes off-peak timetable.

On weekdays this new Route 71 will extend into South Dunedin with two trips in the morning and two trips in the afternoon servicing Kings/Queens High School, these trips will replace Route 40. These two trips will take a different route each – one will go via hill suburbs and one will go via motorway between South Dunedin and Green Island.

  • A new Route 72 (Abbotsford Loop). This will be a 20-minutes peak and 60-minutes off-peak timetable.

On weekdays this route will extend to the Dunedin Bus Hub via Kaikorai Valley Road, with two trips in the morning and three trips in the afternoon travelling past Kaikorai Valley College, Otago Boys High School, Otago Girls High School and Trinity Catholic Collage (stops for these schools will be on Kaikorai Valley Road, Stuart Street and York Place). This will replace Route 39.

Route 77: Mosgiel – City

Route 77 will have some timing changes; it will now operate every 20 at peak - as opposed to 15 minutes currently.

  • Peak times will be more reliable due to more time between trips.

  • It will continue to be 30 mins off-peak frequency.

  • There will be better connections with the new Routes 71 and 72.

Route 78: Mosgiel – City Express

Route 78 will now operate every 20 mins at peak, instead of 30 mins, with 1 extra trip in mornings from Mosgiel to Bus Hub and 4 extra trips in the afternoon from Bus Hub to Mosgiel.
