DIVERSION Affecting 33, 44, 55 and 37 
Stuart Street between Nairn Street and Kaikorai Valley Road is closed to traffic heading into town tomorrow 23 January between from 9-5pm. This means the bus stop at the Nairn Street Playground is closed and a detour is in place for 33, 44, 55 and 37. A temporary stop is in place on Kaikorai Valley Road behind Cableways.

The final stage of this work is earlier than expected and before schools go back.

Roadworks affecting number 19 as of Wednesday 15 January

Due to road works and continued safety improvements along Arthur Street on Wednesday 15th, Thursday 16th and Friday 17th, the number 19 will head towards Belleknowes following its previous route along Smith Street, up Rattray Street and onto City Road.  Buses heading into the hub will be able to travel along Arthur Street and down Stuart Street as normal.

Diversions in place for numbers 1, 14, 18, 37, 38, 44, 55, 61 and 77 due to roadworks in town

Upcoming road works on Cumberland Street will affect a number of services accessing and leaving the bus hub from Wednesday 15-17 January and again on Friday the 24th of January. Please note, that weather and delays may extend the closure. We will do our best to keep you informed.

Work will be undertaken overnight between 6pm and 8am, causing Lower Stuart Street between Moray Place and Castle Street and St Andrew Street between Great King Street and Castle Street to be closed to through traffic during works. Services that usually access or depart the bus hub via Lower Stuart Street or St Andrew Street will instead use Moray Place and Princes Street or Great King Street and Hanover Street.

The diversions are as follows:

No. 1 Palmerston/City – Hanover and Great King Street  

No. 14 Port Chalmers/City – via Hanover and Great King Street in both directions

No. 18 Portobello to city – Hanover Street, Great King Street

No. 18 City to Portobello – Moray Place, Princes Street

No. 37 Concord to University – Hanover and Great King Street

No. 44 St Kilda to Halfway Bush and No. 55 St Kilda/Brockville – Queens Gardens, Princes, Moray

No. 61 City to Kenmure – Gt King St, Hanover St

Kenmure to City – Rattray, Princes, Moray

No. 77 Mosgiel to City – Queens Gardens, Cumberland, Hanover St, Gt King St

Stops at New World and Countdown will not be operational. We are setting up a temporary stop at New World. For the Countdown stop please go to the Hub.

TEMPORARY DIVERSION and stops for number 18 City Portobello

From tomorrow Thursday 9th to Thursday 23rd of January the number 18 bus heading to the Peninsula won’t be able to travel along Beaconsfield Road due to work in the area. The bus will instead travel around Portobello Road with temporary stops in place at the bottom of Seaton Road and Nicholas Street.

Bus Stop at 134 Portobello Road closed

The bus stop at 134 Portobello Road (near the Vauxhall Yacht Club) is not in use as it has been damaged by a land slip.
