❌Albany Street one-way closure - UPDATE❌

UPDATE - 29/03/2023

On the 30th and 31st of March, Road closure will be extended further to the Leith St intersection on Albany St. These two days the city buses will carry along Clyde St to Frederick St. Temp Stop is on Clyde St just after the Roundabout on the left.

From the 9th until the 23rd of March, Albany Street will have one lane closed between Leith Street and Ethel Benjamin Place; traffic will still have thoroughfare when travelling from Ethel Benjamin Place, but no entry will be available from Leith Street

- Routes 14, 37 and 63 travelling towards Clyde Street will continue as per the original route.
- Routes 14, 38 and 63 travelling from Clyde St will detour from Albany St to Leith St to Frederick St to the One-way SH1
- Albany St, OUSA stop is closed. The replacement stop is located outside Veggie Boys.

UPDATE - 21st March

Temp stop outside Station Road for the bus from Port Chalmers to the City is closed due to Health & Safety issues. Please use SH88, Noyan Rd bus top instead.

UPDATE - 9th March

Apologies for all the changes, station road will be closed from 10th March (9 am) until 12th May.

The bus will operate as per the original plan. Servicing sawyers bay bus stops on peak hours (Mon to Fri).

UPDATE - 8th March

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Station Road will be open from 2 pm today 8th March until 8 am Monday 13th March. The Route 14 bus will service Sawyers Bay in both directions from 2 pm onwards.

From the 6th of March, Station Rd will be closed between Stevenson Ave and SH88 for upgrades/road works for 10 weeks. The Route 14 bus will service Sawyers Bay bus stops in both directions during peak hours only. For other hours, the bus will skip Sawyers Bay and pick up/drop off passengers at the Temp stops on SH88 at the beginning of Station Rd from SH88.

- Peak Hours: 7:00 am to 9:00 am, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
- Before and after peak hours, at weekends, the bus will pick up/drop off passengers from the Temp Stop.

Saturday: Every 60 minutes from 8:31am to 11:31pm. Sunday: Every 60 minutes from 9:31am to 5:31pm.

Route description

Travel from the bus Hub in Great King Street turn right onto St Andrew Street then left onto Cumberland Street. Cumberland Street will change name to Malcolm Street and Great King St. Turn right onto Albany Street, then left onto Clyde Street before turning right onto Union Street East. Follow Union Street East to turn left onto Anzac Avenue then left at the Stadium round-a-bout intersection to join State Highway 88. This road then becomes Ravensbourne Road (State Highway 88). Follow Ravensbourne Road (State Highway 88) which becomes Dunedin-Port Chalmers Road (State Highway 88), and turn right into District Road, then left onto Reeves Street. Turn left down Shandon Street, then right to rejoin Dunedin-Port Chalmers Road (State Highway 88). Turn left up Station Road, then take the third exit onto Stevenson Avenue, and follow the road right into Borlases Road. At the end of Borlases Road, turn left onto George Street, and then left onto Beach Street, which becomes Macandrew Road. Turn around, and return down Macandrew Road, which then becomes Beach Road, and turn right into George Street, then left into Grey Street. Continue straight into Magnetic Street, and straight across into Harrington Street to the Port Chalmers terminus (corner of Harrington, Meridian and Fox Streets).
