Our vision for public transport
In recent months, we have been finalising the draft of our Regional Public Transport Plan (RPTP), talking to key stakeholders in Otago.
The vision we shared is for an...
Inclusive, accessible, and innovative public transport that connects Otago and contributes positively to our community, environment and economy.
The RPTP is a strategic document that guides the planning and delivery of public transport services and infrastructure in Otago. It sets out the vision, objectives and policies for our public transport system for the next 10 years from 2021 to 2031.
We worked with a number of stakeholders including city and district councils, Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Agency) as well as community boards, groups and associations in Dunedin and Queenstown.
Have your say
The draft of this 10-year plan will open for consultation for three weeks from 12pm on Monday 3 May, 2021 until 12pm on Monday 24 May, 2021.

A new retailer in the centre of Queenstown We're delighted to announce that we have a new Bee Card retailer for the Wakatipu, the centrally-located i-SITE Visitor Information Centre at 22 Shotover Street, in The Clocktower Building. You can now purchase and top up your Bee Card in town as well as at our Frankton offices or online (plus Dunedin locations). Pictured is Abbey Chamberlain, our ORC Implementation Advisor, outside the i-SITE.
Please remember, it is still mandatory to wear a face covering on public transport in New Zealand. Take responsibility and please #maskup.
QR codes are also more readily available on buses, so please keep scanning with the NZ COVID Tracer app.
