while Stop B is closed:

What measures has ORC taken to keep people safe at the hub?

ORC is increasing the security guard presence at the bus hub today and over the weekend. Security staff also travel on the buses from time to time.

Does ORC have plans to further improve safety?

Police and security staff will increase their presence at the bus hub today and over the weekend. We acknowledge this is a serious incident and tragedy, and that it impacts people’s trust and confidence. We continue to urge people to have confidence in the safety of our bus system, however, acknowledge terrible incidents such as the loss of a young person do impact people and we’ll work hard to address that. It’s vital that we revisit current arrangements and all security requirements alongside DCC and Police, and this will happen in the days and weeks ahead.

Who should I contact if I witnessed the incident?

Please call the police, who are now investigating, on 105.
