The Opportunity

We are looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join our Information Technology team on a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) basis, in our busy Dunedin, Queenstown or Alexandra office.

The purpose of this position is to provide end user support services for ORC computers, business systems, and applications, ensuring reliable delivery of IT services to staff and stakeholders.

As a Service Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing help desk support for all company PCs, peripherals, phones and tablets
  • Ensuring required software is available and installed for ORC staff as needed
  • Assisting with maintenance and support of Council’s corporate systems
  • Be proactive and supportive of the IT team and contribute towards the achievement of the strategic IT plan

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • A sound knowledge of current software and hardware: including Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Windows OS, Active Directory and Client Management tools
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT sector
  • Proven experience in network administration and desktop support
  • Innovative, shows initiative and is able to self-manage
