Otago Regional Council (ORC) regularly makes submissions to central government, local government, and other external agencies on policies, plans, and proposals that may impact our region.
These submissions are an important way for ORC to represent the interests of Otago’s communities and environment. They help ensure that national and regional decisions take account of local perspectives, knowledge, and priorities.
We prepare submissions across a wide range of topics – from environmental policy and climate adaptation to infrastructure, transport, freshwater, and more. Some submissions are technical, others strategic, but all are grounded in our role as a regional council.
This page provides a summary of recent submissions ORC has made to external agencies. We publish them here as part of our commitment to transparency and to keep our communities informed about the work we do on your behalf.
