Need a refresher on bar crossings? This event is for everyone, so come along, have a kōrero and some kai and maybe pick up something new (there's even chances to win spot prizes)

Haere mai to Brighton Surf Life Saving Club where we will be hosting a Bar Crossing Safety Evening prior to the busy summer season. 

It will be an informative evening where speakers include:

  • Coastguard on Lifejacket usage, vessel prep and courses
  • Paddy, local fisherman, on bar crossing safety and his personal experience crossing the Taieri Bar
  • MSAR on the logistics of a Search and Rescue
  • Dive Otago on Skipper responsibilities with divers in the water
