Megan Williams (Manager – Wānaka Water Project) and Mandy Bell (Chair – Wānaka Water Project) will provide a general update and lead a discussion on the WAI Wānaka Community Catchment Plan and associated work.
Councillors Noone and Robertson will provide an update to the Committee on the development of the Land and Water Regional Plan.
Danielle Smith, Health Promotion Advisor from the Southern District Health Board, will present information on health and air quality in the Otago region.
Staff will present an overview of air quality issues in Otago, including the ORC Air Quality Strategy, its implementation to date, and proposed activities for the 2020/21 financial year.
This item summarises the revised National Environmental Standards for Air Quality (NESAQ), identifies areas of concern forming the basis of an ORC submission to the Ministry for the Environment, and seeks Committee endorsement of the submission.
Provides a summary of State of the Environment (SOE) air quality monitoring, network upgrades, implementation of ORC's Air Quality Strategy, and compliance with the Air Plan.
Summarises the 2019 Arrowtown Air Quality winter programme initiative and its outcomes.
