The Otago Regional Council has resolved to amend under Section 85AA of the Resource Management Act 1991 the Regional Plan: Coast for Otago from 1 August 2025.
The Otago Regional Council has resolved to amend under Section 85AA of the Resource Management Act 1991 the Regional Plan: Coast for Otago from 1 August 2025.
The amendment is to give effect to the requirement to incorporate new Aquaculture Settlement Areas within Otago’s Coastal Marine Area in the Regional Plan: Coast for Otago.
The Regional Plan: Coast for Otago is available on Otago Regional Council’s website orc.govt.nz/coastplan and can be viewed at public libraries throughout Otago.

Coast care delves into Otago's coastal environment, offering insights into coastal features, biodiversity, and water quality. Our coastlines are beautiful, and we want to keep them that way. We manage coastal water quality from the shore out 12 nautical miles.
