Lower Clutha and Lower Taieri flood protection and drainage scheme rating model review
Otago Regional Council will hold hearings and deliberations following consultation in August and September on proposed changes to how the costs of the Lower Clutha and Lower Taieri flood protection and drainage schemes are shared between properties that benefit from them.
The hearings will be held on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, followed by deliberations on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.
Both sessions are scheduled to run from 9.30am until proceedings conclude, with a scheduled finish of 4.15pm, in the Otago Regional Council chamber at Aonui, 180 High Street, Dunedin.

The Lower Clutha/Mata-Au and Lower Taieri Flood Protection and Drainage Scheme Rating Model Review looks at how the costs of the schemes are shared between the properties that benefit from them. The proposal focuses on how the costs of the schemes are shared between properties.
