Are you ready to meet the consent rules for animal effluent by 4 December 2025? All dairy farms in Otago must have lodged resource consent applications for their animal effluent storage and discharge systems by 4 December 2025.
We're running free workshops to help farmers prepare and follow the rules around animal effluent storage and discharge systems.
Join us at one of our upcoming workshops to get guidance on what’s required under Schedule 19B of Plan Change 8 (PC8). There will be three workshops:

This is the final staged deadline for dairy farms with 41+ days of storage capacity under the PC8 requirements.
However, all dairy farms, regardless of the existing storage capacity, will need to apply for a discharge consent by 4 December 2025. Find more info here.
