Intensive Winter Grazing Consents Application Workshop

Thursday 27 October 2022

11:00am

Venue: Weston Hall, 20 Main Street, Weston

The new regulations relating to Intensive Winter Grazing (IWG) commence on 1 November 2022 and for those that need a consent, these should be in place by 1 May 2023. To help you get all information into your application the first time, together with NOSLaM, we are hosting an Intensive Winter Grazing Consents Application Workshop with Joanna Gilroy, ORC Consents Manager, Benita MacLean, Catchments Advisor Coastal Otago and Megan Rowland, Environmental Officer Compliance.

We will:

  • Walk you through the IWG Online Resource Consent Application Form - this is where fill in the application form and identify the information you need.
  • Walk you through the IWG Management Plan Template (this is your on the ground action plan).
  • Show examples of Paddock Wintering Plans including some that our farmers submitted and were accepted.
  • Give a clear understanding of the definition of what a critical source area (CSA) is, discuss the importance of CSAs and the way they will relate to your consent application and offer up management strategies.

The workshop is held on Thursday 27 October at 11am at Weston Hall, 20 Main Street, Weston. A BBQ lunch will follow.

To assist us with producing handouts for everyone, please RSVP here or to Rob at noslamoffice@gmail.com or on 021 194 9597 on or before Monday 24 October 2022.
