Changing technology has an important part to play in improving your experience as a bus passenger.
Did you know that wifi is now available on Dunedin buses giving you free wifi while travelling on our service. How do I use it? Using wifi on the bus is as easy as:
Tag on/tag off
Our new ticketing system is coming soon in 2018 which means another technology improvement. By using your bus card to tag on when you start your journey and tag off when you get off the bus, you’ll pay the right fare for your journey and boarding your bus will be faster. Another advantage of this technology is that it provides rich data for future route planning.
Wakari and Helensburgh Bus Routes
After feedback from our community Wakari (33) and Helensburgh (50) routes will have changes to the hill end of the routes. New routes start on Monday 2nd July. Route 33 will now avoid Shetland St and instead use Balmacewen Rd and loop around Mayfield and Forresbank Ave. Route 50 will now avoid Lynn St and instead use Balmacewen Rd.
