The Opportunity

We are looking for a Team Leader Customer Support to join our Customer Support team on a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) basis, in our busy Dunedin office. In this role you will be leading a small team and ensuring customer principles are followed.

The purpose of this position will involve managing the day-to-day operations of the Customer Support team and play a lead role in projects and continous improvement. The role will be responsible for ensuring ORC's Customer Policy principles and commitments are lived by our customer experience team, and that our customers experience high levels of services and satisfcation when engaging with the ORC.

As a Team Leader Customer Support, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership to the Customer Experience team
  • Coaching, mentoring and suppporting and enabling staff to achieve agreed outcomes, and grow and develop in their roles
  • Maintaining cross functional relationships that help deliver a consistent customer expreince from across the ORC
  • Ensuring the team is working to first point of contact resolutions for customers, with enquiries, applications, information requests or complaints
  • Ensuring all employees receive the appropriate training before supporting customers

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification
  • Previous experience (7-10 years) in the customer services industry
  • Experience in objective setting and the monitoring and assessment of performance
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to cope with pressure, determining priorities, planning worklaods and managing conflict demands and achieving deadlines
  • Adaptable to new technologies, systems that improve customer service
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude and commitment to the organisation and its values
