To support the implementation of the Head of Lake Whakatipu Natural Hazards Adaptation Strategy, Otago Regional Council, working close with partners, will develop a range of resources for effective implementation. These include:
- Guidance documents for key implementation activities.
- Updates on relevant regional and national adaptation developments.
Investigations and reports
The natural hazards adaptation programme has produced a range of research and reports over the years. These documents provide valuable insights into local natural hazard risks and support informed decision-making. You can view all reports as well as Council papers, community presentations and more on this page.
Strategy Implementation and Progress
Implementation of the Head of Lake Whakatipu Natural Hazards Adaptation Strategy will begin in mid-2025, led by Otago Regional Council and its partners including Queenstown Lakes District Council and the community. Progress updates will be provided regularly.
