The Opportunity
We are looking for Compliance Officer – Biosecurity/Senior Compliance Officer – Biosecurity to join our Environmental Implementation team on permanent, full-time, (37.5 hours per week) basis, in our busy Queenstown office.
We welcome all skill levels, both entry level and senior experience, with details covered below for what the team is after. In this role you will be play a key role in setting and upholding compliance expectations across the region.
The purpose of this position is to provide professional, legally and technically sounds services to the Council for Biosecurity compliance under the main legislation the Otago Regional Council is responsible for. The role plays a critical role in protecting the environment, biodiversity, and primary industries by monitoring regulated biosecurity activities, investigating potential breaches, and taking appropriate compliance and enforcement actions when necessary.
