We’re hosting a meeting at the Wanaka Community Hub — it’s your opportunity to drop by and let us know how you think pests should be managed across our region over the next 10 years. 

This is part of the review of Otago’s Regional Pest Management Plan (RPMP).

• Location: Wanaka Community Hub, 34 McDougall Street, Wānaka

This is a drop-in session — you can come by anytime between 3pm and 6pm. 

Our biosecurity and policy teams will be there to answer your questions about pests.

There will also be: 

• topic tables 
• posters about Otago’s pests 
• activities and games 

Come and have your say — your feedback will help shape the draft RPMP before formal consultation begins next year.

There will be an online session on Tuesday, 30 June, plus an online feedback form you can fill out.

Reading the discussion document before giving your feedback means you'll be sharing an informed opinion, with a better understanding of what the draft recommendations will mean for you.

You'll see information that includes:

• draft recommended management approaches for some pest species where we have a reasonable level of certainty of the best approach
• the proposed approach for some pest species still under review while we seek more information
• some additional information for spotlight species to help inform your input on the best management approach for these pests.
