Itâs a big week next week!
From Monday, all passengers will need to wear a face mask when catching the bus, and the Bee Card goes live in Dunedin next Tuesday, which means weâll start charging fares again.
If you ordered your Bee Card online, donât forget to log in and activate your card before you travel. The Bee Card wonât work until youâve done this.

đ The first tag will take a few seconds longer than usual.
đ Bee Cards activate when they are swiped across the machine, so if youâve topped up online but it says âpending balanceâ it will update when you tag on.
đ Online top-ups can take up to 12 hours, so donât top up right before travel.
đ Concession changes may take 30 minutes to apply.
đ Donât forget to tag off! Otherwise a default fare will be charged.
