On board with Orbus 🚍

It’s a big week next week!

From Monday, all passengers will need to wear a face mask when catching the bus, and the Bee Card goes live in Dunedin next Tuesday, which means we’ll start charging fares again.

If you ordered your Bee Card online, don’t forget to log in and activate your card before you travel. The Bee Card won’t work until you’ve done this.

Still haven't got your card? Click below to see where you can get one. You still have time to ‘bee ready’.

And remember, be kind and be patient as we all get used to the new system.

Here are a few tips for day one of the Bee Card:

🐝 The first tag will take a few seconds longer than usual.

🐝 Bee Cards activate when they are swiped across the machine, so if you’ve topped up online but it says ‘pending balance’ it will update when you tag on.

🐝 Online top-ups can take up to 12 hours, so don’t top up right before travel.

🐝 Concession changes may take 30 minutes to apply.

🐝 Don’t forget to tag off! Otherwise a default fare will be charged.
